ThetaTrades is an informational tool. It does not provide investment, tax, legal, or financial advice. It is not a broker-dealer and does not execute trades.
You are responsible for your own trading decisions and for verifying any figures shown in the app. Data comes from files you import; calculations depend on that data and may be wrong if the import is incomplete or incorrect.
The software is provided as is, without warranties. Use at your own risk.
No fiduciary duty. ThetaTrades is a software tool. No advisory, fiduciary, or broker-dealer relationship is created by your use of this site.
No warranty. The software is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThetaTrades and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any trading losses, lost profits, or lost data, arising from or related to your use of the site. Total liability, if any, is capped at USD $100.
Assumption of risk. Options trading involves substantial risk and is not suitable for every investor. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
Changes. We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated terms.
Free Tracker (this website): Your journal data is stored in your browser (local storage on your device). ThetaTrades does not receive your CSV contents or positions on our servers when you use the static site alone.
Clearing browser data or switching devices can delete browser-local data. Keep your own records and verify all calculations against primary account statements.
Paid products (not offered yet): If we launch a paid desktop connector, roll monitor, or account features later, checkout and product terms will describe what is collected (e.g. email for licensing). This page will be updated before paid checkout goes live.
Like most websites, our host (e.g. Cloudflare) may process standard connection logs (IP, user agent) for security and delivery. We do not sell personal data.
No account credentials. Do not enter brokerage usernames, passwords, account numbers, or API keys into ThetaTrades. The tool only requires the exported CSV.
Third-party hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare; standard connection logs may be processed by the host for security and delivery.
